Orange Shirt Day 🧡

On Tuesday, September 29, we invite all students and staff to wear orange in recognition of Orange Shirt Day. Students are also welcome to wear ribbon skirts or ribbon shirts.

Throughout the day, every class will participate in meaningful, age-appropriate learning and reflection. Together, we will honour Residential School survivors, remember the children who never returned home, and learn about the importance of Truth and Reconciliation.

As a school community, we recognize the message that Every Child Matters and that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and that they belong.

Please remember that there is no school on Wednesday, September 30, in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

What a wonderful final week of Camp Dragon! 🐉📚

Our campers stayed busy as we continued building our reading, writing, and storytelling skills. Along the way, we also had plenty of fun making our own bannock and ice cream together!

We wrapped up camp with a celebration of all the hard work and growth we saw throughout the past couple of weeks. Each camper received a special award highlighting the unique strengths they brought to camp, such as “Best Storyteller,” “Most Creative Writer,” “Literacy Superstar,” and many more.

We are incredibly proud of all of our campers and are so excited to continue seeing them grow as readers and writers in the fall!

A HUGE THANK YOU to United Way Regina for helping to make this program possible and for supporting our young learners and their families. We are so thankful for your ongoing support! ❤️🍎

⭐️ We hope all families enjoy the rest of summer and continue to read, read, read! We can’t wait to see everyone’s love of learning continue to grow in the fall. We ❤️ reading! 📕

They were lucky to enjoy a story walk this week and have loved bringing their own ideas to life through storytelling. We’re looking forward to all the fun and learning that Week 2 will bring! 📚🐉
