We are so excited for the first day of school! We know all the students are as well. Our number 1 priority is safety for all the children attending our Center, Ecole St. Elizabeth and École Wascana Plains School SCC Please remember that U Turns are illegal, the speed limit from 7am to 7pm is 30km and there is no parking in front of the building from 8:00am-4:30pm. Following all of these rules will ensure a successful school year for all!

It’s been a great year for our garden boxes this year! We have a variety of veggies and flowers! The children choose what to grow and help in the whole process. The point is not to solely have a successful garden (although that is a perk) it is to teach the children how to garden and care for something living. From seed to harvest they take part in every step. If something dies, it’s a good lesson and opens up conversations about why it died and what we could do differently next time. Gardening teaches patience, supports a sense of wonder and curiosity and, when it is successful it creates a sense of pride! This is a perfect process over product project that we love doing each year! 🪴 🪏
