Salsa Colada

Salsa Colada Salsa Colada is more than a dance studio; it is a feeling. We blend Salsa, Bachata, Cha Cha, and Salsa Caleña into fun, dynamic classes.

We offer three levels for women and couples’ classes, creating confidence, connection, and joyful movement. Salsa Colada was founded by Juliany Qureshi in the year 2000 but Juliany has been dancing for as long as she can remember- Dance was a channel for confidence and as a way to reach back at her Latin roots. Salsa Colada’s purpose is to empower women and children ages 19months to the sky is the limit :) and to serve as an aid to channel dreams through dance. The group was first created by a group of brave- like minded women desiring to get out of the everyday work and home life and be part of a community that provides encouragement, positivity and confidence. Now we have added couples classes to our services in order to bring partners together. Every class has a mission beyond the benefits of cardio, health and movement- Salsa Colada’s mission is to ensure we become better, more confident, happier and healthier individuals through dance.

What a night at Regina’s Got Talent! ❤️🔥

We had an absolute blast being part of this year’s event. From sharing the stage with my dancers, to chatting with so many wonderful people while waiting in the dinner line, the whole evening just felt GOOD.

We had the honour of opening the show and, as always, we came ready to bring that Salsa Colada energy. 💃🔥

And here’s a fun full circle moment…

The winner of Regina’s Got Talent actually sang at one of our Salsa Colada New Year’s parties a few years ago! I remember thinking she was incredible then, so seeing her take home the win was pretty special. 👏❤️

A huge thank you to SCEP Centre Early Intervention for inviting us, welcoming us so warmly, and treating us so well throughout the evening.

We love performing, but nights like this remind me that the Salsa Colada experience is also about the people we meet, the memories we make, and getting to be part of something bigger than ourselves.

Congratulations to everyone who shared their talent and helped make the evening so special. Regina really does have talent! ❤️

We are so excited and grateful to be invited to be part of this beautiful Día de los Mu***os celebration. 💀🌼❤️

There is something so special about coming together through culture, music, dance and tradition, and we are honoured that Salsa Colada gets to bring a little of our energy to this meaningful celebration.

Thank you to Hispanos en Regina for including us and for creating spaces where our community can celebrate, share and keep our beautiful Latin traditions alive.

We can’t wait to dance, celebrate and be part of the experience. 🌼💃🏽

See you November 1st! ❤️

Therapists charge by the hour.

Meanwhile, we’re over here seeing what we can fix with one really good song. 😂💃

A bad day? Turn the music up.

Too much on your mind? Give your brain choreography to worry about instead.

Need to feel like yourself again? Come dance.

Forgot your pants?

Apparently I can’t help you there.

And before anyone zooms in… YES, I am wearing shorts. 😂

This is the Salsa Colada experience.

It’s movement, music, challenge, connection and that little reset in the middle of your week that you didn’t realize you needed.

You don’t need dance experience. You don’t need to be “good at dancing.” You just need to walk through the door.

We still have spots available, including beginner classes that start from zero.

Come see what one really good song can do. ❤️💃

We got matching dresses. Did our makeup. Headed out to make dance videos. How hard could it be? 😂

The dance part? We had that covered.

The video part? Our entire production crew (me) borrowed rocks from the planters to mark where we should stand so we’d both fit in the frame. Then I took photos instead of videos. Three times!!!. 📸

We danced our hearts out, ran back to the phone and held our breath to see whether any of it had actually been recorded.

Our finished videos might make this look easy, but behind the scenes, we’re laughing so hard that making the video has become the experience. 💃😂

The rocks were returned to their planter, just in case they were imported. No rocks were hurt in the making of this video. Only egos. 🪨

If salsa isn’t a mental getaway…
explain how you’re supposed to remember THIS combo
while wondering why he didn’t call you back. 😂💃

Exactly. You can’t.

Level 3 requires your brain to be HERE. Present. Focused. Counting. Moving. Remembering what comes next.

And maybe that’s one of the best parts of dance.

For 55 minutes, the emails can wait. The to do list can wait. And whatever his problem is can DEFINITELY wait. 😂

You get music, movement, challenge, laughter and a room full of women who make showing up feel good.

We have spots available in our Level 3 class and an incredible group of gals ready to welcome you into the group. ❤️

Come give your brain something better to think about.
