At our Open House meeting this week a former member surprised us by attending and telling us that she has decided to rejoin the club. 🤩 We are excited to welcome her back! Toastmasters "Of the Year" awards recognize members who exemplify organizational values, show exceptional leadership, and make significant contributions to their Club, Area, Division and District. Wild Oats Toastmasters is pleased to CONGRATULATE and announce the names of our club members who received Area and Division awards on Saturday, September 19th.

The Ice Breaker is the first speech that all Toastmasters give. Its purpose is for the club to get to know the new member and for the new member to learn the basic elements of speech structure. It was a humorously told story of 3 parts of her life. Her conclusion was particularly inspiring - "I hope one day I'll be able to say I'm comfortable being uncomfortable, as that is how you grow." We are sure you will, Jolene!
