🚨 3 Reasons Students May Struggle to Pass the NCLEX-RN 🩺📚
👩🏫 By Professor Taran Kaur, who has taught 8,000+ nurses
1️⃣ Gaps in understanding nursing concepts If the underlying concept is unclear, applying it to a clinical scenario becomes difficult. Memorizing answers cannot replace understanding the “why” behind nursing care. ✅ Strengthen your concepts and practise applying them.
2️⃣ Difficulty understanding English vocabulary and misreading questions Unfamiliar words or overlooking phrases such as “first” or “requires follow-up” can change your interpretation of the question. ✅ Build your vocabulary and read carefully to identify exactly what is being asked.
3️⃣ Inappropriate time management Rushing because you believe you must finish all 150 questions can lead to avoidable mistakes. You can pass in 85 questions—and you can also pass in 150. ✅ Pace yourself for a possible full-length exam while giving each question careful attention. The number of questions alone does not indicate your result.
💙 Build your understanding, read with care, and maintain a steady pace.
