One of our favourite parts of this journey has been connecting with other local businesses that share a passion for supporting children and families. 💛
A huge thank you to our friend at The Nook for gifting us this beautiful learning resource to try out. We love discovering new ways to spark curiosity, creativity, and learning through play, and we’re excited to explore this one with our kids.
Supporting children takes a village, and we’re grateful to be part of a community filled with people who care so deeply about helping kids learn, grow, and thrive. 💛💛💛

Three years ago, this started as a side project driven by a passion for helping students. We never imagined it would grow into something that would impact so many learners and families.

What has surprised us most isn’t the growth.. it’s the relationships. The trust families place in us, the messages celebrating milestones, the kind reviews, and the opportunity to be part of so many learning journeys have meant more than we can put into words.

The impact we’ve been able to make is far more meaningful than we ever imagined, and we’re incredibly grateful for every student, family, tutor, and supporter who has been part of this journey.

Thank you for allowing us to do work that we genuinely love. 💛

With growing classroom complexities and increasing class sizes, it can be challenging to consistently provide the individualized support every learner deserves. 💛

This is one of the reasons we started YQR Tutors. Through small-group and one-to-one learning, we have the opportunity to give students focused attention, build meaningful relationships, and truly get to know their unique strengths, interests, and learning styles.

Those “aha!” moments never get old, and we feel incredibly grateful to have supported so many students and families over the past three years. Thank you for trusting us to be part of your learning journey. 🌱✨

Did you know flat LEGO® pieces can be a powerful math tool? ✖️➗➕➖
Multiplication isn’t just about memorizing facts—it’s about understanding how numbers work. Flat LEGO pieces naturally create arrays, helping children see multiplication in a hands-on way.

🧱 Try it at home or in the classroom:
• Build a 2 × 4 array and count the total studs.
• Ask: “How many rows? How many in each row?”
• Record the multiplication sentence (2 × 4 = 8).
• Turn the piece and discuss how 4 × 2 = 8.
• Compare different pieces and look for patterns.
• Challenge children to find pieces that equal the same product in different ways.

✨ As children build, they’re developing:
✔ Multiplication understanding
✔ Skip counting skills
✔ Number sense
✔ Mathematical reasoning
✔ Problem-solving skills

The best part? Many children don’t even realize they’re doing math—they think they’re just playing.

Save this idea for your next math lesson!
