Great news everyone! We were funded to start a language recording session, in one Saskatchewan First Nation to start Indigenous Language, stories and oral history. This is in partnership with Mahihkan Music Studios for the professional on-site, recording services. Very blessed to have this opportunity to assist in protecting our languages.
We are aiming to start recording sessions next month! This is a huge step for us and Mahihkan Music Studios!

Good Afternoon Everyone! Thank you for liking and following this initiative!
Exciting news! We are currently writing a proposal to begin language and culture recording. Should the funds be approved, we are looking to start recording by late summer.
Right now, we are in the research phase of gathering information and locating fluent speakers whom want to have records of all of our Nation's dialect. If you know of a First Nation or Fluent Language speaker interested in recording our languages and stories, please inbox us.
Also, feel free to post anything language related! Let's not let our languages disappear! Nanaskomon, Meegwitch, ekosi. Hiy hiy.

Welcome to the new members! Please post anything related to preserving our languages. I am working with elders and community members to record the last fluent speakers in our areas. Hopefully this can become a training library for Cree.

Welcome to the Indigenous Archives: Preserving our Languages page. Here we would like to post, promote and record our languages for Saskatchewan Indigenous Languages, songs and stories. I am a sound Engineer and Producer with the skills and equipment to record, edit, document and preserve our languages and stories. My goals are to approach each community and meet with their fluent language speakers, knowledge keepers and story tellers to record their wisdom and knowledge, free of charge.
Due to COVID and the growing pandemic, we are at risk of losing our language, stories, songs and knowledge. I wish to preserve this sacred information for our future generations to access, in an ethical manner. This site is voluntary and has no ties to any organization, business or financial interest. Solely, the keeping of our languages, stories and songs. Thank you for joining and please share your gifts. Hiy hiy
