We are so lucky to have the Penderecki String Quartet coming to perform in the Regina Chamber Music Festival! As a part of their visit they will be working with the RSS students, offering their expertise!

Regina Summer Strings – Inspiring Music – Inspired Musicians

This summer, the Regina Chamber Music Festival brings three evenings of inspiring live chamber music to Regina.

Performances are presented by Regina Summer Strings faculty alongside visiting artists, including the Penderecki String Quartet.

Concerts take place July 2–4, with each evening featuring a unique program and different artists throughout the festival.

Popsicle Strings is back for 2026!

Join us during Regina Summer Strings (June 29 – July 4, Riddell Centre, University of Regina) for our beginner program, now offered as a full morning experience (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM).

Designed for beginner string players up to age 10, Popsicle Strings is a welcoming, play-based program where no prior musical experience is required.

Through games, movement, and group learning, students are introduced to the basics of violin playing in a supportive environment that builds confidence, creativity, and joy in music-making.

Led by experienced instructors Andrea Hedlund and Katherine Achtzehner, students will explore rhythm, simple techniques, and foundational skills. Students must provide their own instrument.
