It's been a while since I've done an update. As mentioned earlier this year about me moving. We have moved up north now near Canora. Unfortunately the house we moved to needed a lot of work before moving in. We've spent the whole summer living in a camper while we renovate and have permits approved etc. We're still renovating but it's coming along. Hopefully by the end of the month all the final touches, painting, moulding etc will all have been completed and we can finally move in. Can't wait to start cooking in a full kitchen again!

That said I hope to be stocked up on beetniks by thanksgiving. Once stocked I'll make a trip to Regina and drop off at Ukranian co-op for everyone to purchase directly from them.

As of Tuesday, Ukrainian Co-Op has purchased my entire inventory of beetniks, leaving me without stock until the next growing season. The cold weekend presented a perfect chance for me to prepare more borscht. I am now offering freshly made borscht, priced at $10 per litre. This borscht is not only delicious but also packed with healthy ingredients, including homemade chicken bone broth, making it an excellent choice to combat the cold weather.

As I prepare for a new chapter, I will be moving to the Yorkton/Canora area this spring, tracing back to my family's roots. You can still collect your orders from my North Central home until May. Following my relocation, the Ukrainian Co-Op will serve as the designated distribution point for my products unless you're able to pick them up locally. On occasion, I will be in Regina and can facilitate deliveries or meetups, though I haven't confirmed a schedule. If interest is substantial, I may organize a pickup location.

We are pleased to announce that the final batch of 2025 beetniks is now available. Our stock is limited to 127 bags, and we recommend prompt purchase to avoid disappointment. The price is $5 per bag or $10 with the accompanying sauce. Additionally, we have an ample supply of Borscht available for $10 per litre.

More beetniks made this weekend. I have another 65 up for grabs. I will only be making them 1 more time before I run out of leaves again until next growing season. Which will be around another 60 bags. I will run out quickly so get yours before I sell them all to Ukranian Co-Op! $10 with sauce. $5 without. These ones are made with my greenhouse beets that are blood red so there is pink staining on the dough.

Will have plenty of borscht available for a while so don't forget to grab some borscht too. $10 for a litre.

This is why I like growing in a greenhouse. Mid November. Minus temperatures and my beets are still healthy. Not growing but alive and still crisp. It also took only about 5 minutes per side to harvest all my beets. No bending or kneeling in dirt. It was another 2 minutes to winterize it as well. All I needed to do is unplug the pumps and unhook them from the hoses to bring them inside so they don't freeze and get damaged.

PS I'm out of stock of beetniks again as I dropped off my last 37 to Ukranian Co-Op today. Don't worry though I'll be making more in the next couple of weeks. Can't have anyone go without beetniks for Christmas!
