If you are in the process of preparing for your trip to the UK, then you probably know has a reputation for having cold, wet weather. Although this may be true for some times of the year, the UK is actually much better than most think - and can have some great weather during the summer months.

Generally, there are four distinct seasons to the UK; summer, winter, spring and autumn:

☀️ The summer months are by far the best times to visit the UK if you are looking for warmer temperatures and longer days. You can, of course, get rain during the summer months, but generally summer is a wonderful time in England.

🌸 Spring offers some of the prettiest times to be in England with blooming flowers, warming temperatures and cheerier dispositions.

🥶 Winter generally runs from November to March - though you can expect this to run longer during some years - and is characterized with cold weather, rain, sometimes snow and fog.

🍂 Temperatures during autumn will generally be anywhere from 5 to 15°C, but fall can provide beautiful weather, especially in light of the long dreary winter ahead.

The UK is an island, so it receives a large amount of rain. It can rain during any season and on any given day – so bring your umbrella! ☂️ ☂️ ☂️

Canada's constitution allows each province and territory to deliver its education programs. Despite regional differences, however, Canada's colleges, universities, and polytechnics use similar terms to describe common pathways and credentials!

The length and composition of these programs is an important decision for prospective international students, as it may have a direct effect on eligibility for employment and immigration opportunities in Canada— Keep reading to learn more about this! 👇🏿👇🏿

🏫 Undergraduate education in Canada follows completion of senior secondary or high school.

🏫 The full duration of a standard undergraduate education (culminating in a bachelor's degree) is three to five years.

🏫 International students should budget a minimum of four years to complete a bachelor's (undergraduate) degree. With a completed bachelor's degree, and the right combination of language skills and experience, international students may become eligible for a number of provincial and federal immigration programs!

🎓 You may also decide to pursue a Master's degree, which requires completion of a bachelor's degree. Canada also offers a number of certificates, diplomas, and Associate Degrees at the undergraduate level.

🎓 While these do not qualify students to undertake Master's degree in Canada, they may be useful for immigration or employment purposes.
Not sure which one is the best fit for you? Send us a DM to get started!

🏫 The ancient universities of the UK are universities founded before the year 1600. They have traditionally had a strong focus on highly academic, often theoretical, subjects such as: pure sciences, philosophy, and theology.

🏫 Metropolitan universities are usually great places to meet new friends and explore new interests, but employers sometimes rank degrees from these institutions below those from Russell Group universities.

🏫 The Russell Group universities focus on social wellbeing, as well as their research and outstanding courses. There are a wide range of societies and clubs that can make you feel at home and help you to develop a new group of friends.

The choice is yours. The UK has a fantastic mix of different universities and there are pros and cons to each of the three different types of university, so there’s something for everyone!

To study in the US at the undergraduate or graduate level, English language competency is essential!

To make sure international students are set up for success, most universities in the US have English language requirements during the international student application and admissions process 🗣️ Most schools rely on the following standardized English language tests: PTE, TOEFL, and the IELTS.

Each university or college is free to establish the minimum grade you need in order to be admitted. Most educational institutions require:

📝 A minimum score of 6.0 or 6.5 for IELTS Academic. Some universities accept scores as low as 5.0 – 5.5.
📝 A minimum score of 70 – 80 for TOEFL® iBT. Some universities accept scores as low as 65.
📝 A minimum score of 55 – 60 for PTE Academic. Some universities accept scores as low as 50.

While most US universities and colleges will accept any of these three tests, some may require you to take a specific US language test!

Remember to clarify any requirements with the admissions office of the universities you are applying to in advance – this way, you won’t waste time and/or money taking an English language test the university won’t accept! 🙌🏿 🙌🏿
