Our Reconciliation Tree will be a year-long reminder that reconciliation is not just a day of reflection. It is an ongoing commitment to learning, listening, and taking meaningful action.

Throughout the year, our office will use the tree to reflect on and support the Calls to Action, creating opportunities for our school community to learn, grow, and contribute to reconciliation in meaningful ways.

Each leafs represents a step forward. Together, we can continue growing a community rooted in respect, understanding, and reconciliation. 🧡 Every Child Matters 🧡
On Tuesday we wore orange to honour the children who never returned home from residential schools, Survivors, their families, and communities.

Orange Shirt Day is an opportunity to listen, learn, remember, and reflect on the ongoing impacts of residential schools. Through truth, education, and meaningful reconciliation, we can work together to build a future where every child is valued, respected, and safe.

Welcome Back, Owl Families! 🦉

Welcome back to what promises to be another wonderful school year at Ochre Park School!

We are so excited to welcome our Little Owls and families back for the 2026–2027 school year! Whether you are returning to our school community or joining us for the very first time, we are so happy to have you as part of our Ochre Park family.

Our Owl Team has been working with care, excitement, and dedication to prepare for the year ahead, and we truly cannot wait to reconnect with everyone. A new school year brings so many opportunities for growth, discovery, learning, laughter, and building meaningful relationships. We are excited to begin this journey together!

As part of our start to the school year, we warmly invite families to join us for our Meet the Staff Breakfast on your child’s Staggered Start days for Grade 1s - 4. This will be a wonderful opportunity to meet and connect with the Owl Team members who will be welcoming, guiding, and supporting your Little Owl throughout the year. We believe that strong school-home partnerships are an important part of student success, and what better way to begin those relationships than by sharing breakfast together!

We are so excited to welcome our newest Little Owls to Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten! Families have been contacted directly with their child’s specific start date and time. We can’t wait to welcome our newest Little Owls and their families to the Ochre Park community!

Together, as partners in your child’s learning, we can create a warm, safe, nurturing, and inspiring environment where every Little Owl feels welcomed, valued, supported, and empowered to grow.

Thank you for entrusting us with your wonderful children. We are incredibly grateful to be part of their learning journey and cannot wait to see all the amazing things this year will bring.

As we head into summer, we want to wish all of our Little Owls and their families a safe, relaxing, and joy-filled break! We hope you take time to rest, make wonderful memories, and enjoy all that summer has to offer.

As a reminder, our Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students will participate in a staggered start during the first week of school. Families have received their child’s specific start date and time prior to the beginning of the school year. A staggered start allows our youngest learners to become comfortable in their new classroom, build relationships with staff, and ease into school in a calm and supportive environment.

We look forward to welcoming all of our Little Owls back during the week of August 31 – September 4 for another exciting year of learning, growth, and fun. Until then, have an amazing summer and we can’t wait to see you in the fall!
