Today, we had our staff learning session with our new principal, Miss Phillips, leading the way!

Although Miss Phillips only joined our Fairview family a week ago, it already feels like she has been here forever! She brings six years of administrative experience, a wealth of knowledge, fresh perspectives, and a genuine passion for supporting students and staff.

We are excited to learn alongside her, grow together, and continue building a school community where everyone feels valued, supported, and inspired to do their best.

❤️ Thank You, Teresa! ❤️

Today, we say goodbye to our principal, Teresa Tataryn, as she moves on to a new adventure.

After five years at Fairview, Teresa leaves a lasting impact on our students, staff, and school community. We are sad to see her go, but so happy for her as she begins this next chapter.

Fairview is truly a special place, and Teresa has played an important role in making it what it is today. Her care for students and staff, her leadership, and her commitment to our school will continue to be felt for years to come.

We hope to continue the legacy she leaves behind and build on the wonderful work she has done for our Firebirds. 🔥❤️

🧡 Orange Shirt Day at Fairview🧡

Today, our Firebirds came together to recognize Orange Shirt Day in observance of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Our students had the opportunity to learn from our Knowledge Keepers, who shared stories, teachings, and important learning with us. We are grateful for the time, knowledge, and perspectives they shared with our school community. 🧡

Every three weeks, our teachers come together for **SPRINT and PODS**—one dedicated hour to set a goal and plan how they will work toward it over the next three weeks.

This year, we are starting with **differentiation in math**! ➗📚 Our amazing district coordinators joined us to share practical tools and strategies and support us in meeting the needs of our EAL students.

While teachers collaborate, learn, and plan together, our students work in stations with our wonderful and fun EAs! 💙

We are so grateful for this dedicated time for professional learning, collaboration, and growth. **SPRINT and PODS are all about working together to support student learning!** ✨

Our Fairview Patrollers are officially on duty! 🦺🚸❤️

A big shout-out to Mika and Ilona, who are starting their new roles and helping train our other Patrollers!

These amazing Grade 5 students are ready to help keep our Firebirds safe after school. We are so proud of their leadership, responsibility, and willingness to help others. What a great group! 🧡

What a great day ☀️ to run and remember Terry Fox! 💙🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Our Fairview Firebirds came together to honour Terry’s incredible legacy and the hope he inspired in us all.

So far, we have raised $298! 🎉 Teachers will continue collecting donations until the end of the week, so there’s still time to contribute and help us reach our goal. ❤️
