Mindset Shift ✨
Try reframing from “I think I can”… to “I know I can” 🌱
Birth doesn’t ask you to be fearless. A bit of fear is normal and healthy, but flip your script, and don’t let fear lead. Let trust lead.
One thing I can confirm from having 2 physiological births at home was, I always knew I could do it. I never doubted my ability to bring my babes earthside. I trusted my inner wisdom, Gods design, and let my body and babies lead the way. And anytime I was met with doubt, I kindly let it go.
You can and you will. You were made for this 🤍🫡

It’s the deep preparation for me ✨
I am so dang proud of my clients. They just know. They get it.
Constantly in awe of women, and their innate power.
Happy Sunday, my friends ✨🤍
I mean, both are valid. But prioritize wisely 🤍
All baby needs is you, once they join earthside. They literally don’t care about the fancy things or the highest technology. And if you start by taking care of you first, the whole ball game can change.
With love,
Alysa
A super common question from hospital birth mamas: How will I know when it’s time to go? ✨
The truth is, there isn’t one perfect answer. Every labor unfolds differently, and every woman experiences labor in her own way.
While contraction timing can be a helpful guide, I also encourage mamas to pay attention to how they’re feeling. Your body often gives subtle (and sometimes not-so-subtle) clues that labor is progressing.
Here are some common signs that it may be time to head to your birth place… but remember, but if you simply feel that something isn’t right, always contact your care provider.
Trust me, you won’t miss the birth of your baby mama 🤍

We’ve spent decades teaching women how to manage labor ✨
But, what if we spent more time protecting the conditions that allow birth to unfold in the first place?!
Birth isn’t just about a uterus contracting.
It’s a hormonal and neurological process.
Oxytocin thrives when a woman feels safe, private, respected, and supported 🤍
Adrenaline is designed to help us survive perceived danger.
So when stress, fear, or constant interruption become the dominant theme in labor, the body is going to respond to that.
This isn’t about blaming anyone or promising a certain outcome. Birth is complex, and every story is unique.
It’s about recognizing something we don’t talk about enough: a woman’s nervous system isn’t separate from her birth; it is a part of her birth.
Whether you’re planning to birth at home or in hospital, ask yourself: who and what will help me feel genuinely safe?
Because feeling safe isn’t a luxury in labor. It’s physiology, mama.
🤍🤍🤍
Stay with me for the length of a surge ✨
The average length of a surge/wave/contraction during active labor? Around 60 seconds. Could be a little more or less, everyone is different. Don’t focus so much on the number, more on the feeling - are the surges getting longer, stronger, closer together, and developing a pattern? This is labor.
Climb the hill, embrace the peak, and let it go. Come down, enjoy the rest. Stay in your body, connect with your baby. The next one will come, and you’ll be that much closer to meeting your baby with every one. Each serves a purpose.
You can literally do anything for 60 seconds 🤍✨
One of the biggest takeaways about birth?! ✨
Understand what’s happening in your body so that when labor begins, you’re meeting it with confidence instead of fear and confusion.
• Yes, labor has rest periods.
• Movement matters.
• Asking questions is always okay.
• Your confidence won’t come from the perfect birth plan or the most expensive stroller, but from understanding what’s actually happening in your body
• Your intuition deserves a seat at the table, alongside evidence and informed decision-making.
The more you understand birth physiology, the more empowered you’ll feel to navigate your own experience, no matter where you choose to birth.
Knowledge is literal power, my friends 🤍🫡
Did you feel confident and empowered at your birth?!

Hello July ☀️
I’m ready for you. Ready for sunny days, catch-up chats while the kiddos play, sand between my toes, and sitting by the fire.
This month feels like standing on the edge of something new.
There are big dreams we’re chasing. Our home in the city is for sale, and we hope to find new owners very soon, so we can make our move to the country 🥹
I’m really trusting the process here and hopeful things are going to work out beautifully.
Here’s to embracing the in-between. And to finding joy in the ordinary, while life quietly changes around us.
I have a feeling July has a little magic up her sleeve 😉
🤍🤍🤍
Remembering to honor my inner goddess, too ✨
I get lost in motherhood sometimes. Guilty.
I love my kids, I love my husband, and I’m so dang grateful for my family and this life. I wanted to be a horse girl as a kid, did the horse camps and all that, but never quite got there. Life happened.
But here I am l… making my dreams a reality. Manifesting, and going for it. And my kids will see that, and know that they can literally do anything too, if they set their minds to it.
Reminder to fill your cup too, mama 🤍
