Our 4-year-old classes had a very special art experience this week! 🎨🌼
Two wonderful moms from our preschool community joined us to guide the children in creating beautiful garden watering dishes for pollinators. As we talked about caring for bees, butterflies, and God’s creation, the children explored what it means to be good stewards and “God’s earth keepers.” 🌎🐝
This hands-on experience encouraged creativity while also building important skills like fine motor development, listening and following directions, sensory exploration, patience, and problem-solving. The children were so proud to shape and design their own unique pieces!
A huge thank you to for sharing this meaningful experience with our students. Stay tuned to see the finished products once they’ve visited the kiln! ✨

Yesterday was our last visit from Spaz, the umbrella cockatoo! Over the past several weeks, each of our 3 classes had the opportunity to meet, learn about, and even hold this amazing creature.
Through this up-close, hands-on experience, the children explored the wonder of God’s creation while practicing important early learning competencies such as gentleness, curiosity, courage, and trying new things. For a few, it was an opportunity to overcome fears, ask thoughtful questions, and build confidence in a safe and caring environment.
What a special experience to learn through connection, discovery, and awe for the beautiful animals God created!

This week has been full of sweet snuggles and unforgettable moments with our little chicks! 🐥💛
Together with a friend, each child had the chance for some one-on-one time cuddling, observing, and exploring these tiny fluffy friends. Together we noticed their soft feathers, scaly little feet, tiny nails, and adorable beaks. The children loved watching their natural instincts come alive — pecking at freckles and loose threads, scratching at the ground, and fluffing their feathers as they nestled into cozy laps.
Soon our chicks will head back to the farm, and while we’ll miss them so much, we’re also excited for our next “metamorphosis project” as we watch caterpillars transform into beautiful butterflies! 🦋
God’s creation is truly amazing, and we feel so blessed to explore and learn through His wonderful design every day. ✨

What a BIG week at Noah’s Ark Playschool! 🌸🐥
We loved celebrating Grandparents Day with a special concert, yummy snacks, fun activities, and even planting flowers together. Thank you to all the wonderful grandparents who joined us and made the day so memorable! 💛
And the excitement didn’t stop there… our chicks have arrived! 🐣
We have 8 fluffy little balls of sweetness visiting us this week, and the children are absolutely delighted. Each child will have a chance to snuggle, hold, and interact with the chicks before they head back to the farm.
So many special memories, smiles, and hands-on learning moments!! 🌼✨

🌿 Fun Friday 🌿
“Nn” is for Nature Walk! 🍃☀️
Today we headed out to search for signs of spring and found SO many treasures along the way! 🌼🐞 We spotted LOTS of ladybugs, picked LOTS of dandelions (you’re welcome, neighborhood 🤣), discovered all kinds of spring surprises, and were very excited to climb a tree 🌳💚
We also enjoyed a picnic-style snack in the park while reading Picture the Sky by Barbara Reid 📚☁️
Fresh air, curious minds, and sunshine-filled adventures made for the perfect Friday! ☀️✨

Critter update! 🐣🦗
This is our first year hatching praying mantises, and wow—it’s been a learning curve. We started with about 150 hatchlings, which sounds exciting… until you realize just how many that really is! Nature has a way of balancing things out though—we went from 150 to 61 to just 11 in about a week and a half.
The good news? The ones we have left are thriving! They’re eating like crazy and growing fast.
On top of that, our chick eggs arrived just under two weeks ago, and we’ve been loving the experience of candling them and watching their development. It’s amazing to see how much has already changed—they’ve developed tiny scales on their feet, their feathers are starting to form, and they even have an egg tooth and little toenails ready for scratching when they hatch!
Spring has been keeping us very busy with all these adventures, so we haven’t posted as much lately—but we’ll try to keep you updated more regularly as we move through May!

🎉 Fabulous Friday Fun! 🎉
This week, we explored the letter J—and what a joyful time we had!
J is for Jellybeans & Jumping! 🍬💥
Our little learners put their creativity and STEM skills to work by building amazing structures using jellybeans! We saw a snow blower, a Christmas tree, a house, as well as shapes like squares and hexagons. So much imagination and problem-solving in action!
In the gym, we kept the energy going as we discovered all the different ways we can jump—on, over, off, and across! There were lots of giggles, movement, and active fun.
We love seeing our preschoolers learn through play every single day. 💛

THEY’RE HERE! 🥳
an incredible surprise waiting for us this morning… 100, 150, maybe even 200 tiny arrivals—it’s hard to count when there are SO many! 🤣
Welcome, baby (nymph) praying mantises! We are beyond excited to watch you grow and explore your new world.
Pssst… stay tuned for updates—you won’t want to miss this! 👀✨

🏀 March Madness: That’s a Wrap! 🍀
We had the best time wrapping up our March Madness theme days! Our hallways were full of color, energy, and plenty of school spirit. Here is a look back at our final two celebrations:
💚 Green Day The luck was with us as we explored green-themed sensory bins and went on an exciting hunt for treasure! We also turned into little bakers for the morning, getting hands-on to make some delicious Irish Soda Bread.
⚽ Sport Day It was an active, high-energy day to close out the month! We practiced our fine and gross motor skills with sports-themed classroom activities and challenged ourselves on a giant obstacle course in the gym. It was wonderful to see so many sports and teams represented in everyone’s apparel!
Thank you to all our families for helping make these days so special for the children. We love seeing their excitement for learning and play! 🌟

We’re soaking up every minute of Spring Break, but wanted to share a sneak peek of our pre-Easter festivities! From sensory bins and crafts to the classic chocolate egg hunt, it was a joy-filled week.
However, the highlight wasn’t the activities—it was the quiet moments we spent remembering the “why” behind it all.
We talked about our Savior’s incredible love, His sacrifice, and His ultimate victory over death.
It’s humbling to think that if He wanted to, He could have pulled the nails out and come down from the cross. He has that kind of power. He could have simply spoken the words and everything would have stopped—but He didn’t. He chose to stay, because God had a plan, and because He loves us so deeply.
