Three of our gr11 Gurber students completed their 12 week pre-employment welding Olds College program; one of 4 different programs hosted by Olds & RDP; open to Alberta grade 11 or 12 students.
Six RDPSD students participated; advised by Mrs Rudolph of École Secondaire Lindsay Thurber Comprehensive High School.
Next week they take their tests (AIT) to challenge their technical training of their first year apprenticeship!

See anything you haven’t seen in your laundry pile lately??! 😋
This is the Gateway Lost & Found from the last few months. 👚👖👟
A few items were claimed today but there are still plenty to be viewed & returned home.
What is left at the end of Thursday, June 11 will be donated. 🫶🏼
Come check it out!
PS - you can send you child to look too but they don’t always try so hard… just sayin’ 😉 (We think that’s how it all gets lost in the first place.)

The Gateway gr2s spent the day at Crimson Lake on Friday.
They were lead by their fabulously dynamic interpreter guide Mac who talked about the important role bugs play in nature & had the group wandering through the bog following a duck. Trees & bogs make for a better play place than the park! 🌳🌲🦆🐝🐜
Thankfully they were blessed with good weather the entire day! The rain started when they boarded the bus to come back. ☔️
