Did your students notice something a little unusual about the staff this week? From inside-out clothing to a surprising amount of animal print and denim, our staff have been quietly taking part in an Underground Spirit Week just for fun!

Today's theme was '80s Day, and our staff did not disappoint. From bright colours and big hair to retro accessories and classic 80s fashion, it was amazing to see the creativity and enthusiasm on display throughout the school.

While the students may not have known exactly what was going on, many certainly noticed something different and had fun trying to figure out the mystery behind our daily themes!

A big thank you to our staff for bringing a little extra fun, laughter, and school spirit to the week!

Lots happening over the next few weeks! We also have PATs, field trips, middle school events and our Gr. 8 Farewell happening. So hard to believe only three weeks left of school!!

Congratulations to our Grade 4/5 Soccer Team!

What an incredible achievement! We are proud to congratulate our Grade 4/5 soccer team for earning 2nd place yesterday at the first-ever Division-Wide Soccer Tournament, hosted by Fairview Elementary School.

Throughout the tournament, our students demonstrated outstanding teamwork, sportsmanship, determination, and school spirit. They represented our school with pride both on and off the field, and their hard work paid off with a well-deserved silver-medal finish.

A big thank you goes out to our coaches, staff, families, and supporters who cheered the team on every step of the way. We are so proud of everything our athletes accomplished and the positive example they set for our school community.

Last week, our Grade 6–8 students had the exciting opportunity to attend the Canada-Wide Science Fair STEM Expo in Edmonton! 🔬🚀

Students explored interactive exhibits, connected with scientists, engineers, and innovators, and discovered the many possibilities that STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) has to offer. From hands-on activities to inspiring demonstrations, the day was filled with curiosity, learning, and discovery.

Experiences like these help bring classroom learning to life and encourage our students to think critically, ask questions, and imagine their future pathways. Thank you to the organizers, presenters, and volunteers who made this incredible event possible. Our students left inspired and excited about the world of STEM!
