A reminder to our Red Deer Public families...

Our soccer team represented our school proudly at the Fairview soccer tournament yesterday! That’s to all the players and our coach, Mr. Huizing.

Today we held our annual Micro Awards Assembly! We were pleased to award Tricia Hunter with the Swarm Supporter Award.

From the moment she learned about what we do, Tricia became one of our biggest champions. She generously shares her time, energy, and expertise, always encouraging us to think bigger, dream bolder, and explore new possibilities for our students.

One of Tricia’s most impactful contributions was organizing our MicroSociety Community Day, where more than 20 business leaders from across Red Deer came together to learn about our program and the incredible work happening at Aspen Heights. Through her efforts, new connections were formed, awareness was raised, and opportunities for our students continued to grow.

What makes Tricia’s support especially meaningful is that she has no direct connection to our school. She doesn't have children attending Aspen Heights, nor does she have family ties to our program. She supports us for one simple reason: she believes in the power of community and in the potential of our students.

Tricia truly stands beside us, champions our mission, and helps us thrive.

We had an amazing day at Aspen Heights! Our Micro Awards were a fantastic experience for all of our students, ventures and community members all around. Thank you to Mrs. Sim and Ms. Schneider for all of your hard work in setup for this amazing event! You’re the best.
