Three cheers and our thanks for kindness.

Quick acts of kindness matter. On Friday I made a request to the LinkedIn community. I put out a call for five sets of mittens to help out some kids in our preschool. In under an hour I had etransfers or cash from Sue Bornn, Mandip Kharod (she/her), and Avery Acheson. I'd committed to covering the fifth pair.

On Friday evening, I went and bought five pairs of mitts.

This act of quick kindness, by these three people, will mean the world of difference to not just kids in this winter's preschool, but for kids in preschool for years to come. Being outside and getting to explore natural spaces, in all conditions, is so good for kids and for them finding their place in the world.

Thank you to everyone who reached out, and to Sue, Mandip and Avery for helping to fund this project.

Wild Child registrations are open. If you have an active 5-year-old in kindergarten or homeschool kindergarten, we have an active program.

Please join us at our annual preschool open house! Everyone is welcome to meet the staff and learn about our preschool programs. Classes start after Labour Day.
