Every conversation we have, story we hear, and new perspective we encounter helps us better understand the people and communities that are part of our game. ⁠

This month, we encourage everyone to take one small step toward learning more. ⁠
⁠
Try reading a book, asking a question, watching a film, or following a new account. Every action matters. ⁠

This session is designed for MHA staff, Hockey Alberta membership, and social media/communications volunteers to connect, share ideas, and explore best practices in growing the game through digital platforms.

The Shift Forward is focused on transformational change on how we approach training to achieve creating a safe and welcoming hockey environment and empowering those who engage in the game to manage behaviours. Through topics such as hockey culture, active bystander intervention, crucial conversations, autonomy, consent, and more, participants will gain the tools to help move the game forward.
