End of year fun day at Pines High!! Thanks to the leadership class for planning an amazing Pride week and end of year fun day!

🌱🍓 Farm-to-Table in Action at PINES High! 🍅🌿

Our Foods class got their hands dirty and their creativity flowing today as students harvested fresh strawberries, basil, and rhubarb from the school garden and greenhouse.

Using ingredients they grew themselves, students baked delicious strawberry rhubarb muffins and prepared homemade tomato basil soup—both of which will be featured on the school lunch menu later this week!

From planting and nurturing our gardens in the Indigenous Leadership class and student volunteers to harvesting and cooking in Foods class, these are the Pines Values of Stewardship and Respect at its finest. We're so proud of our students for connecting with where food comes and working together to bring fresh, local flavours to our school community. 💚

What an incredible experience for our Drawing 15 students this quarter! 🎨

We had the opportunity to visit RDP, where students toured a variety of studio spaces and explored the inspiring Fine Arts program. They also got a firsthand look at what post-secondary art education can offer!

One of the highlights was participating in a drawing class, followed by a thoughtful and engaging art critique alongside second year art students. It was such a valuable experience to learn, create, and connect with fellow artists.

A huge thank you to the RDP team and students for welcoming us—we left feeling inspired and excited about what’s possible in the world of art and post-secondary! ✨
