Our Bandits had a fantastic week of Hip Hop last week with Rico and Nathan from Pound It Hip Hop Studio! Merci, Pound It Hip Hop Studio !

Hip Hop dance has its origins in African American culture, specifically in late 1970's New York and teaches the elements of DJ'ing, MC'ing, Break Dance, Graffiti Art and Knowledge guided by the foundational principles of Peace, Love, Unity and Having Fun!

Due to space constraints we were unable to invite all parents to the wrap-up assembly so we have created a compilation video of all of the dances. This will be shared in this week's Wilson Weekly.

We extend a HUGE THANK YOU to our École Barrie Wilson School Council parents for funding this week-long residency! Thank you for your commitment to student learning, physical literacy and well-being!

Our Safety Patrollers completed their training with Mr. Joslin from the AMA - Alberta Motor Association this week. They will begin working the crosswalk in front of the school starting, Monday, Sept. 21 - after school only. Please proceed very carefully through this area. Do not park within 3 meters of a marked crosswalk to give patrollers and pedestrians room to see cars approaching. Thank you for looking out for our young leaders and all of our students!
