For years Mrs. Crosby has taught, inspired and loved our littlest learners here at Normandeau.

We have always known that she is an exceptional educator and human being and so we are absolutely THRILLED to announce that she has been recognized with the Regional Certificate of Achievement for the 2026 Prime Minister’s Awards (PMA) for Excellence in Early Childhood Education.

Anyone who knows Mrs. Crosby or has had a child lucky enough to be in her class knows that this award is very deserved!

Congratulations, Mrs, Crosby. Thank you for spreading your magic here at Normandeau every single day!

Today we honoured National Day for Truth and Reconciliation with a special assembly led by our Grade 6 students. Classes also took part in meaningful classroom activities, and Mrs. Penney’s family generously made bannock for everyone to enjoy. 🧡

📚 Nigel needs YOUR help!

Nigel was enjoying a good book in our library… until he realized some of our books are literally falling apart! 📖💔

So, Nigel and Mrs. Mitten headed to Indigo Red Deer to check out the Indigo Love of Reading Foundation fundraiser and start a wish list of new books! 🛍️

❤️ 100% of the proceeds from bookmark sales, Blind Date with a Book sales, and donations at the till or through our website come back to our school to help update our library!

Let’s help Nigel fill those shelves! 📚❤️
