École Mountview Elementary

Our Grade Pre-K to Twos had a great opportunity to see a puppet show this month! Our guest puppeteer brought to life the stories of beloved Canadian Author, Robert Munsch & our teachers were asked to volunteer as characters too! Way to go, Yetis! what a fabulous way to listen to a great story!

Oh Mme MacDonald & Monsieur Charles-Bravo! What an incredible opportunity to witness your students work in small groups working on several different tasks! Way to go, grade two, you are working cooperatively & collaboratively! So many skills are being practiced in class and it takes dedicated practice to set this routine in place! Bravo!!

The Grade 3 & 4 classes recently had a fabulous field trip this year to the Rocky Mountain Historical Site where they had the opportunity to travel back in time to 1821 and many were able to experience fur trading with special artifacts and small group exploration. Students were curious and keen to learn about this history with hands on materials. Bravo to an inspiring & well organized trip by our teachers! 💙

We have been ‘busy bees’ in the month of May! From ‘Principal of the Day #1’, to our Volunteer Tea, and our Choir performance with the Red Deer Symphony - May has been filled with beautiful opportunities for learning, growing & performing! We loved Grow Kids, Pancake Day, Popsicles with the Principal and our guest Tennis & Volleyball Coaches! Stay tuned for more pictures & memories ahead! 💙
