Creekside Spotlight | Thankful for Our Creekside Family 🍂

This Thanksgiving, we’re taking a moment to celebrate the people who make Creekside Creative Academy feel like more than just a school.

We are a Forest School, but at the heart of Creekside is something even more important — our people, our relationships, and our sense of belonging. 🌲

Our staff show up each day with care, patience, creativity, and a willingness to grow alongside our children. Together, we learn, explore, support one another, share the busy days, celebrate the little moments, and make memories along the way.💖

We’re grateful for this incredible team and the community we continue to build together. Happy Thanksgiving from our Creekside family to yours. 🤎🧡

A peek into Grade 3!✨🍂

Sharing some photos showing what our Grade 3 learners have been up to inside the Academy! From spelling and experiments to leaf provocations, painting, and creating a fire truck from a box, there’s always something to explore and create. 🧡

They also spent some time with Ms. Sydney and Kimochis, building connections and learning about feelings along the way.

Our JKs got creative with nature! 🌿

We explored leaf and pinecone painting on a big piece of paper, created alongside our friends, and enjoyed the fresh air and beauty of the outdoors.

We were excited to welcome a special guest who introduced our students to the fascinating world of microgreens! 🌱

Students had a hands-on opportunity to plant their own microgreens while learning about different types of soil, seeds, and the conditions and care plants need to grow, thrive, and survive.

This experience connected beautifully with our Grade 4 Living Systems learning, as students explore plant structures, life cycles, and the environmental conditions plants need to thrive. It was a meaningful opportunity for students to take their learning beyond the classroom and experience these concepts firsthand through planting, observation, and exploration.💚

We are so grateful for this wonderful hands-on learning experience and loved seeing our students’ curiosity and excitement grow alongside their microgreens!✨
