Kindness was on full display at the Central Alberta Children's Festival this past weekend!
Students from Normandeau School's Service Option program hosted a Kindness Corner, where festival-goers could take part in activities designed to spread positivity and connection. One of the highlights was rock painting, giving children and families a chance to get creative while sharing messages of kindness.

The sounds of cheering crowds will fill the Fairview Elementary School soccer pitch as more than 16 Red Deer Public elementary schools are set to come together for a Division-wide soccer tournament this week. The tournament, for students in Grades 4 and 5, is focused on connection, inclusion and community.

Today marks the start of National Indigenous History Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the rich histories, cultures, traditions, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples across Canada.
At Red Deer Public Schools, we are committed to learning from Indigenous perspectives and fostering understanding, respect, and meaningful relationships. Throughout the month, our schools will continue to engage in learning opportunities that honour Indigenous voices, histories, and ways of knowing.
National Indigenous History Month is an opportunity for all of us to reflect on the past, deepen our understanding, and work together toward reconciliation.
