Spring on the Farm 2026! 🎉

It’s a beautiful day for Spring on the Farm.
We’re here along with the Sunnybrook Farm Museum and all their volunteers! We’re working hard to bring you their annual Tractor Pull plus alot more. You can enjoy pancakes, homemade cinnamon buns, barrel train rides, face painting, popcorn and visits with some Heritage Breed chickens or just come for a stroll on the farm.
Come celebrate our Farming heritage!

Farm School is complete for another year and I am so grateful for our small farm school community that is starting to bloom. Thank you for your kindness and support, for our conversations and experiences that have been shared throughout the year. I hope we have planted a small seed of farming fun in your lives.

Farms, Furbabies & Friends Preschool.. is a program that combines an outdoor animal and agriculture journey, with an indoor classroom structure that facilitates hands-on learning in Red Deer, AB. In short, we have fun with kids, animals and agriculture.

Every year we are so fortunate to have two cute little calves at Farm School!

Welcome Winston (AKA Houdini) and Browny for our 2026 calf visit. 🐄🐄

Children learn basic facts about beef and dairy cattle farming. They focus on how to milk and how to turn milk into butter. The kiddos take tours of the Sunnybrook Farm Museum Dairy Barn, and learn how milk gets from cows to grocery stores.

This year we ventured into the trailer for our visits to allow Winston and Browny a bit more space and quiet. A practise that may become a regular event.

Thank you to Bryan and Sharon from Rainbow Farms, near Delburne, AB. We appreciate everything you do…. your calves are awesome! 😊

Chick visits 2026… so sweet! 🐣🐥🐣

Lifecycle of a Chicken Project for 2026 is now complete …. with the exception of the chick and kiddo cuddles. 🐣🐣

We hatched out 12 super cute Lavender Orpington chicks this year. We’re excited to report that all are doing well, looking super fluffy and healthy.
