From Remembering to Reconciliation 🧡
Yesterday at GH Dawe, our students and staff came together to learn, reflect, remember, and take meaningful steps toward reconciliation.
As we move from Remembering to Reconciliation, students participated in activities that encouraged us to think about the past, honour the experiences and stories of Indigenous peoples, and consider how our actions today can help build a more respectful and inclusive future.
Students are sharing their hopes, dreams, and wishes for our school, our community, and our future by creating wish feathers that will be part of an Indigenous art feature in our library. Each feather represents a small but meaningful voice in our collective journey toward kindness, understanding, belonging, and reconciliation.
We are grateful for the opportunity to learn together and to continue turning remembrance into action. 🧡
