We are thrilled to invite you to the upcoming Rainy River High School Student Showcase!

Our students have been working incredibly hard all year, and this event is a dedicated space for them to share their creativity and talents with the community.

• Door prizes and take-home items

This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our students' growth, ask them about their projects, and see firsthand the amazing work happening inside our classrooms every day.

Hello RRHS Families!
Please take a moment to compete the Nutrition on the Weekend (NOW) survey. NOW is a program delivered through schools provided by the Northwestern Health Unit.

The NOW program provides a weekend bag of food for students to take home from school on Fridays. We would love to get your feedback to make improvements!  This survey should only take 2-3 minutes to complete.

Dear Parents/Caregivers:
The Rainy River District School Board will be offering a Summer Co-Op opportunity this summer.
Summer Coop:
This program allows students to earn up to two credits during the summer through a registered work placement in the Rainy River District, and by completing the requirements of the Ontario Cooperative Education course curriculum.
• Students must see Ms. Brielmann in Guidance for an application, which is due back to Guidance by May 22, 2026.
• Students are responsible for finding their own work placement.
• Students must complete 110 hours of work by the designated summer deadline to earn one credit.
• Limited spaces are available and priority will be given to Grade 11/12 Students who:
o Need coop as a SHSM requirement and cannot fit it into their time table.
o Need 1 to 2 credits to graduate by end of summer of 2026
o Need 1 to 2 credits to get back on track with the scheduled graduation year
o Are interested in exploring apprenticeship through OYAP

If you would like to join the Cook and Connect Program YOU MUST SIGN UP BY FRIDAY, MAY 8TH @ NOON! The sign up sheet is in the main office.
On the Menu = Chicken Caesar Salad or Wrap with veggies
Students make their own salad or wrap/grab and go style
Lawn games will be available on the front yard
Happening Wednesday, May 13th at lunch
FREE!

Please be advised that in anticipation of worsening secondary road conditions, ALL busing students in the Rainy River District will be picked up at their respective schools starting 1:30 pm today, December 18, 2025.

Schools will remain open for all other students. Please contact your child's school with any questions.
