Thank you to everyone who attended yesterday's pancake breakfast. We enjoyed connecting with the students, staff and faculty on campus.
We want to offer special thanks to Elder Doreen Patrick for welcoming everyone and blessing the event, to the Quesnel Rotary Club for cooking the pancakes, to NUGSS for helping fund the event, to CNC for sharing their space, their equipment, and their helping hands.
We wish everyone all the best in the upcoming school year!

When the original champions of UNBC went door-to-door canvassing for support more than 30 years ago, they found it in community after community across northern B.C.
We’re hearing about the importance of that ongoing connection to community as you share your vision for UNBC’s future during our strategic planning renewal process.
This week’s question is “What does a successful university in the North and for the North look like?”
Share your thoughts with us: https://www2.unbc.ca/strategic-planning/community-engagement
A big thank you to everyone taking time to answer the questions of the week!

Your voice matters.
We’ve asked for input on your hopes and dreams for the future of UNBC and you’re responding!
What we’ve heard so far is that people are most proud of UNBC’s strong connections with community, its accessibility and its small campus ‘feel’ with a big heart.
This week’s question is “In the future, what would you like UNBC to be known for?”
Share your answer with us at: https://www2.unbc.ca/strategic-planning/community-engagement

Every week for the next month we will be asking you a new question to help give us a better understanding of your vision for your UNBC.
This week we want to know what makes UNBC special?

Moose Hide Campaign Day is this Thursday, May 12, 2022. Join us in this day of ceremony to take a stand against violence towards women and children, and to take practical steps for our collective journey of reconciliation with Indigenous peoples. At the UNBC South-Central campus, check out the table at the front of the building where you can learn more about the history of the Moose Hide Campaign, learn about the significance of fasting, and pick up a moose hide pin to show your commitment to honour, respect, and protect the women and children in your life.
