đ Shadow work doesnât start with changing yourself. It starts with noticing yourself.
Your shadow isnât automatically something dark, bad, or broken hiding inside you.
Sometimes, itâs simply the part of you that youâve learned not to look at.
The jealousy you immediately judge.
The anger you swallow because youâre supposed to be ânice.â
The need for attention youâre embarrassed to admit.
The pattern you keep repeating even though you know better.
The version of yourself you decided was âtoo much.â
Before you try to change the behaviour, ask yourself:
What is this showing me about myself?
Thatâs where shadow work can become such a beautiful tool for self-awareness. đ
Instead of immediately fixing, suppressing or spiritually bypassing what comes up, get curious about it.
âš JOURNAL WITH YOUR SHADOW
â What part of myself am I currently judging the most?
â What emotion do I have the hardest time allowing myself to feel?
â When am I most likely to abandon my own needs for someone else?
â What behaviour keeps repeating in my lifeâand what might I be getting or avoiding through it?
â What would I have to admit to myself if I stopped trying to be the âgoodâ version of me?
đź OR PULL OUT YOUR TAROT DECK
Ask:
â What part of myself is asking to be acknowledged?
â What am I currently avoiding seeing clearly?
â What is this pattern trying to protect me from?
â What does my shadow want me to understand?
â What part of myself am I ready to reclaim?
You donât necessarily need to do anything with the answer immediately.
Notice first. Understand second. Change comes later.
Because sometimes the biggest shift begins with being able to say:
âOhhhh⊠so THATâS what Iâve been doing.â đ
And suddenly, an unconscious pattern isnât quite so unconscious anymore.
