Quadra Children's Centre Roof Work Bee Update:

Despite attempting to cancel the Sunday work party, many of the following devoted people gave up time on BOTH Saturday and Sunday to move this project along.

What an incredible weekend of community spirit!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who joined us for our roof prep work parties this past Saturday and Sunday. Thanks to your hard work, generosity, and willingness to pitch in, we've made amazing progress getting the Children's Centre ready for its new roof.

We'd like to extend our extra heartfelt thanks to:

Projects like this simply wouldn't be possible without a community that shows up for one another. We are so grateful for every hour volunteered, every tool loaned, every meal shared, and every shingle removed.

This is going to be a great event not to be missed!

Chautauqua is just around the corner, and we hope all of Quadra Island will be part of it! And it's all FREE!

Whether you’d like to march in the parade, perform in the Big Show, lend your talents, or simply come and enjoy the festivities, there is a place for you. Every event is free, and everyone is welcome.

Thinking about joining the marching band or performing in the Big Show? Don’t let not knowing the music stop you. Music and support are available for anyone who would like to participate, regardless of experience.

We’re also putting out one small request to our wonderfully generous community. More than 60 Chautauqua volunteers will be here helping make this event possible. If your garden is overflowing with fresh vegetables, fruit, herbs, or other produce, we’d be grateful for donations to help feed our volunteer team and the pot luck that they are hosting for our community to get to know their crew

You can drop produce off in the Community Centre kitchen refrigerator on July 20-22.

Chautauqua has always been about neighbors creating something extraordinary together. Whether you share your time, your talents, your harvest, or simply your enthusiasm, you’re helping make this year’s celebration something special.

We have raised $6000 in donations!

From the smallest gesture made with the absolute biggest heart, to the largest contributions that make a monumental impact, we appreciate and value every single one of you more than words can say. Every donation, no matter the size, has made a tangible, real difference in our Raise a Roof fundraiser.

"Thank you" feels entirely inadequate, so we ask you to imagine the most enthusiastic, colorful, and brilliantly bold "thank you" possible! Much like a child’s piece of art, bursting with joy and meaning we might never fully decipher, our hearts are overflowing with awe and gratitude.

Happy Mayday weekend everyone!

Wow, we are absolutely thrilled! Not only are the busy, creative little hands hard at work preparing the Children’s Centre float, but we also got to update the amount of our fundraising thermometer to $3000!
We are so incredibly grateful for everyone who has helped us get closer to our goal. We can’t wait to be out celebrating tomorrow amongst our amazing, supportive community!
