Coast Karma Academy

CKA takes the ocean! Here is a group of our students spending the day fishing, checking prawn traps, learning about boating and ocean wildlife, and even taking turns at the wheel. Days like these are hands-on, immersive learning at its best, where learning happens through real-world experiences that build confidence and skills. Excited to get back out there! 🎣

Another day of marine lessons and harvesting. This was a big, strong Ling Cod and Brody did a great job of getting it to the surface. Officially his biggest fish ever!

This is our Early Learning class at the Village Eatery in the heart of our community, in Qualicum Beach. We were welcomed with incredible warmth and hospitality. We got to practice many skills we’ve been working on this year like sitting to eat and staying together with our group. When we thanked the servers for the great experience they told us “this was the easiest thing we’ve done all day” - and that sure made us feel good! The cookies were delicious but the best part of this outing was being welcomed for who we are and what we have to offer. We’ll be back again soon!!

Incredible event, Autism Cayman! We are so inspired after attending the Autism Symposium in the Cayman Islands alongside so many passionate advocates, educators, and professionals. Hearing from keynote speaker Temple Grandin, along with an amazing lineup of voices in the autism community, was truly impactful.

Grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and bring back valuable insights to our local students and families.
