🚨 THE ISSUE: We don't have enough nominations yet to form next year’s core Executive Team (Chair, Treasurer, Secretary). Without one, the PAC cannot continue, meaning we can lose Hot Lunch, family events, fundraising, classroom support, and appreciation activities.

👋 Our volunteer team is at a critical crossroads! With some of our dedicated members taking on new commitments next school year, we are officially looking for the next wave of PAC leaders.

📋 Positions open include: Executive Team and essential Program Coordinators (🍿 Popcorn, 💰 Fundraising, 🏫 DPAC Reps…). Without new faces in these roles, these programs are at risk.

🤝 If you want to ensure these amazing programs and community events continue for our kids, now is the time to jump in! You don't need prior experience—just a desire to help.

❤️ We love our school community and will help with the transition, supporting anyone who steps into a role.

DPAC AGM — Parents & Caregivers Welcome!

Join the Qualicum District Parent Advisory Council Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, May 20 from 6:30–8:00 pm on Zoom.

This is a great opportunity to:
• Hear district updates directly from Superintendent Dr. Jory and Trustee Julie Austin
• Learn more about the 2026/27 school budget and what it could mean for students
• Hear updates on food programs, transportation, safer routes to school, and district communications
• Vote on updated DPAC bylaws and policies
• Get involved in parent advocacy and district conversations

📌 We are still accepting nominations for DPAC President and Vice President for the 2026/27 school year.

Whether you’re deeply involved or just curious about what’s happening across the district, all parents and caregivers are welcome.

🏖️ Qualicum Beach Elementary School families — you’re invited to a casual PAC beach meetup this Saturday at 6:30 PM at the Four Poles at the public beach!

🪸 Come let the kids play, connect with other parents and caregivers, and learn a little more about the QBES PAC and ways to get involved in our school community.

🍦 We’re thinking of making it a casual little beach potluck, so feel free to bring a snack or something to share if you’d like! We’ll bring some bubbly drinks, and a few treats to help get things started.

😎 No agenda, no pressure — just a fun evening to build community and get to know one another a little better.

We will be holding elections for next year’s PAC Executive and discussing the QBES PAC Annual Report at the AGM tomorrow. All are welcome!
