Brenda Croot

Brenda Croot Ambitious about life. Passionate about growth, freedom and creating change. 🌿 Over time, I realized I didn't want less ambition.

I've spent much of my career working in the oilfield, often putting in long days and spending months away from home. I wanted more freedom to enjoy the life I was working so hard to create. Today, I continue working remotely in the oilfield while building my online business in personal growth and leadership education. Along the way, I've discovered a genuine passion for personal development, continued learning and creating change. Outside of work, you'll usually find me enjoying my morning coffee, tending my gardens, exploring nature with Maya, cooking, reading or planning my next adventure. I believe in working hard, taking ownership of our decisions and remaining open to new possibilities. For me, freedom isn't about doing less. It's about having greater choice in how I live my life. 🌿

It’s interesting how we can spend years working toward one version of life, only to realize somewhere along the way that our definition of a good life has changed.

I think there’s a lot of freedom in allowing that. 🌿

I’m a big believer in starting with the end in mind.

Once I know what I’m working toward, it becomes a lot easier to look at the choices in front of me and ask myself whether they’re taking me closer to that picture—or further away.

Not always the easiest choice. But usually a pretty good question to ask. ❤️

It’s funny how the things we value can change as we move through life.

I still value hard work. I still have ambition. But these days, being able to walk my dog, cook dinner, tend my garden, travel and actually be present in my own life matters to me too.

I don’t think success has to come at the expense of all of that.

I’ve learned that wanting more doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate what I already have.

For me, it can simply mean I’m still growing, still dreaming bigger and still open to new experiences. I don’t ever want to lose that part of myself.

I spent Sunday at a mini spiritual wellness retreat.✨️

What stood out to me is that I went in without expectations and simply allowed myself to experience it.

Sometimes those are the experiences that leave the deepest impact.🤍

A day filled with smudging, energy healing, Reiki, reflection through tarot, and ending with a sound bath was less like an event and more like a gift to my nervous system.

It was no wonder I left feeling calm. In a world that constantly asks us to do more, achieve more, and move faster, there is something incredibly powerful about intentionally slowing down and creating space to simply be.

A perfect alignment with the life I have been creating—one centered around intention, growth, health, and connection.

The calm I walked away with wasn't just from the retreat itself; it was from giving myself permission to pause and receive.🙏

Are you ready to stop settling?

I am.

For a long time, I thought settling meant giving up on my dreams.

Now I realize it can be much quieter than that.
Sometimes settling looks like staying comfortable. Playing small. Waiting for the "right time." Ignoring that little voice inside that knows you're meant for more.

I'm incredibly grateful for my life.

But gratitude doesn't mean I stop growing.
I'm still learning. Still evolving. Still becoming.
Because life isn't about reaching a destination and standing still.

It's about having the courage to keep choosing the next version of yourself.

✨ You can be grateful and still want more.
✨ You can be successful and still be growing.
✨ You can be proud of how far you've come and excited about where you're going.

So I'll ask you the same question I've been asking myself:

Are you ready to stop settling?
