Telling a child they need to change is telling them there is something wrong with them. And no child has ever been happy thinking they were broken.
All too often we judge intelligence by outward appearance. It takes time to get to know someone to see what's really going on inside. Some of the smartest people I have met have been some of the quietest.
Therapy isn't a magic bullet. It is a support meant to assist a child to become the best them.
