Congratulations to Dr. Tristan Pearce on his appointment as a new Canada Research Chair of Cumulative Impacts of Environmental Change in the Department of Global & International Studies.
Dr. Pearce is a geographer with an international research profile in the human dimensions of climate change.
His research has made an impact to the understanding of how communities in the Arctic, Australia and the Pacific Islands Region are experiencing and responding to climate change.
Dr. Pearce grew up in Prince George and holds a BA from UNBC in International Studies. He begins his position at UNBC on July 1.

Congratulations to Political Science Assistant Professor Dr. Jason Lacharite, and Political Science Professor Dr. Tracy Summerville for winning the British Columbia Political Studies Association 2019 Lynda Erickson Prize for their book, The Campbell Revolution.
The Lynda Erickson Prize recognizes the best political science edited book by a B.C. author or authors published in the preceding two years.
