Library is closed today for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Today we remember the children who never returned home from residential schools, and we honour the survivors, their families, and their communities. We take this day to listen, to learn, and to reflect on truths that are still felt today.

When we reopen, we invite you to spend some time with our display at the services desk. It includes The Orange Shirt Story by Phyllis Webstad and other books that share these histories and voices. Learning about this history continues after today.🧡

Ever walk past the displays by the library services desk and wonder who actually puts them together? 👀

We sat down (well she was actually just standing behind a cart😄) with the person behind them (Renata) to find out what goes into it.

Turns out our displays aren’t random, each one is picked to highlight books, topics, or events you might’ve walked right past otherwise.

It’s basically our way of pointing you toward stuff worth checking out (some hidden gems included 💎).
