I have this tree in my yard and it looks like it is growing at an angle. I asked my yardman why it was growing that direction. He told me, “There are a lot of other trees and bushes trying to crowd out its light so it’s doing the best it can to grow toward the light." Just like that tree, we have to do our best to grow towards the Light. Some of us today need to prune some things out of our lives to make room for God's presence. Anger, unforgiveness and even busyness can take up the space that God wants to occupy in our lives. We can't allow anything to block His Light from our lives. We grow in the Light; we gain God’s understanding in the Light. Let's take every opportunity to soak up the Light of His presence. Jesus said, "I am the Light of the World. If you follow me, you will never walk in darkness ..."
