Sometimes all you need is a sunny day, a sandy hill and a handful of good friends!

The kids played for over an hour uninterrupted at our "New Forest" playing in the warm sand. They really took "send your kids back if they come home clean" seriously! 😆

🚑 Community Helpers Week! ❤️

We had some VERY special visitors during our Community Helpers week — paramedics and their ambulance! 🚑

To say the kids were enthralled would be an understatement. They listened so intently while the paramedics talked to them, got to see the ambulance up close, climbed inside, checked out all of the equipment and asked LOTS of questions!

Experiences like this are such a fun way for our kids to learn about the people they see in their community — but they're important for another reason too. ❤️ Getting to meet paramedics when there isn't an emergency helps make the uniforms, equipment and ambulance a little more familiar and a lot less scary if they ever encounter them when there is one. Even the toddlers got to join in and take everything in!

A HUGE thank you to our visiting paramedics for taking the time to come see us, answer approximately 700 tiny questions, and give our kiddos such a special experience!

There were some very excited Tadpoles that day. 🐸❤️🚑

🌿 Meet Our Forest Friends! 🍃

Andrea brought a little extra magic to our forest adventures with this activity! The kids used clay, leaves, sticks, pinecones and whatever other treasures they could find in the forest to create their very own tree faces. 🌲🥰

And WOW did they get creative. Some had wild leafy hair, some had giant ears, some were a little questionable looking 🤣 — and every single one had its own personality.

Of course, making them wasn't enough. The kids named their new forest friends, decided who was who, and found the perfect trees for them to live on. ❤️

The best part? We left them right where they made them! They're still out there in the forest waiting for us when we come back. 🌲🍂

Such a simple activity, but the kids absolutely LOVED it — creativity, imagination, nature and a whole lot of laughs all rolled into one. 💚

🚔 A Very Special Visitor at Tadpole Ranch!
We had a pretty exciting visitor stop by Tadpole Ranch yesterday!

A huge thank you to Constable Warren for taking the time to come visit us and give the kids a fun, hands-on look at what it’s like to be a police officer.

The kids got to ask questions, check out some of his gear, try on the police vest, get “handcuffed” 😆 and, of course, climb inside the police car — which was definitely a favourite!

Visits like this are such a great opportunity for our kids to learn about the people who help keep our community safe, while getting to see that police officers are friendly, approachable people they can turn to when they need help.

It was also extra special for us because Constable Warren is a former Tadpole parent, so we loved getting to welcome him back in a whole different way!

Thank you, Constable Warren, for making their day and giving our Tadpoles an experience they’ll be talking about for a while! 🚓💙

🏕️ Camping Week at Tadpole Ranch! 🔥

We’ve brought the great outdoors inside as we explore all things CAMPING! 🌲

Our little campers have been busy setting up camp, gathering around the “fire,” having pretend camp meals, cozying up in the tent, and using their imaginations to create their own camping adventures.

There’s something pretty magical about giving kids a few simple props and watching where their play takes them. ❤️

Next up: more camping adventures, outdoor exploration, campfire fun and maybe even a few s’mores! 🏕️🔥🌲

🚒 Field Trip Fun! 🚒

Today our Tadpole Ranch crew had an amazing visit to Prince George Firehall No. 4!

We had so much fun touring the fire hall, exploring the fire trucks, learning about firefighters and their equipment, and asking lots of great questions. The jaws of life was a serious hit!!

A huge thank you to the incredibly funny and informative firefighters for taking the time to teach our little learners and make it such a memorable and fun experience.

We appreciate everything you do to keep our community safe! 🚒👨‍🚒🧯

7 little grads heading off to Kindergarten!

It's bittersweet seeing them off, but oh so rewarding see how much they've grown and how far they've come with us.
