BC's Racist Incident Helpline provides free, multilingual support and referrals to services that help people navigate the impacts of racism.

Now, the Helpline's expanding to better support people experiencing discrimination based on their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Last year, nearly 700 people reached out for help. The Helpline made more than 1,600 referrals to services including legal support, mental health care and community supports, and 92% of callers said their needs were met.

Because hate rarely targets just one part of a person's identity, people deserve support that reflects their lived experience.

To reach the Racist Incident Helpline, call 1-833-HLP-LINE (1-833-457-5463) between 9AM and 5PM from Monday through Friday. Help is available in over 240 languages.
