🎉 Our Summer EMR Class of 2026! 🚑❤️

What an incredible group of people!

This was such a well-rounded class, filled with amazing individuals who supported one another, worked hard, and came together as a team to make this course a huge success.

The level of professionalism, dedication, teamwork and commitment to learning throughout this course was outstanding. You didn't just learn the skills—you worked to understand the WHY behind what you were doing, and that makes all the difference when caring for a patient.

A huge THANK YOU to Doug and Abra for the time, knowledge and energy you poured into this class and for challenging our students to reach such a high level of understanding and confidence.

And to our students—thank you for making this one of the BEST EMR courses EVER! You were an absolute pleasure to teach, and we are so proud of what you accomplished.

Congratulations, Summer EMR Class of 2026! 🚑👏

As we wrap up Fraud Prevention Month, Prince George RCMP has a few last takeaways we hope everyone will remember:

Fraudsters prey on our willingness to believe what is presented to us as the truth. They take advantage of our vulnerabilities and sometimes of our desire to be helpful. A fraudster’s goal is to separate you from your money while leaving you with nothing in return. The best way to prevent yourself or someone you know from becoming the victim of a fraud or a scam is to increase your knowledge of what is currently circulating.

Throughout the month of March, Prince George RCMP has been presenting common types of frauds and scams and has met with vulnerable groups throughout the city to help spread what we know about fraud and how best to protect yourself from it.

“From discussing Sextortion and Romance scams to meeting with seniors and discussing trends we see in that demographic, we have been helping to increase people’s knowledge about something that happens almost every day,” states Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

What police officers want everyone to know is that if you are a victim of fraud, you are not alone. Though it may feel embarrassing to report that you are a victim of fraud, it is important to report what has happened to your bank (if your accounts have been compromised); to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre (so they can track it); and to your local police detachment (if you have lost money or sent compromising information online).

We all know the adage “if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is”. And there is nothing that could be truer when we think of fraud.
