Bus route schedules for the 2026-2027 school year are now available on our Student Transportation page at sd47.bc.ca

If you registered for student transportation prior to June 15th, or received an email confirming your child was automatically registered, bus passes will be available for pickup at the School Bus Garage (6580 Cranberry Street) from 9:00am to 2:00pm starting Monday, August 31st until Friday, September 4th.

Once you receive your student’s bus pass, please check the route and confirm their bus stop location and pickup/drop-off times, as some routes have had slight changes.

Interested in running for school Trustee?

qathet School District is hosting a one-hour information session for prospective candidates at the School Board Office (4351 Ontario Ave) on September 2nd at 4pm.

Come out to learn about the overview of the role of a school Trustee, time commitments and responsibilities, board governance, and the election process.

Prospective candidates will also have an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about serving the qathet community through public education.

Anyone who is considering running or simply interested in learning more about the role of a Trustee is encouraged to attend.

Kindy Connect is a great opportunity to explore the school playground, enjoy games and activities, take a short tour, and meet the friendly school team and other families before the first day of school. It's a welcoming, low-pressure way for your child to get familiar with their new school and begin making new friends.

Five Trustees will be elected on October 17th to serve a four-year term from 2026-2030. The nomination period takes place September 1st - September 11th.

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, qathet School District is offering an optional school supply program for K-7 students, designed to make back-to-school preparation easier for families while ensuring students have consistent, classroom-ready materials.

Families can either choose to participate for $30 per student, with the school purchasing supplies based on classroom needs, or purchase supplies independently using a teacher-specific supply list.

PLEASE NOTE: Families will receive an email from their school principal no later than August 31st with a form to indicate whether they would like to participate. If you choose not to participate, a teacher-specific school supply list will be sent home on the first day of school.

At the end of the school year, students in Brooks Secondary's qathet Media House hosted a school-wide showcase celebrating their work from throughout the year.
