Seven years ago, we started with a simple purpose: to tell people about Powell River and encourage people and businesses to move here. That purpose hasn't changed, but we realized that our title, 'Live and Invest,' doesn't quite cover it - there's so much more to Powell River these days! We talked to a lot of people, did a lot of thinking, and realized that while yes, we do still want people to live and invest in Powell River, we really want to facilitate discovery. Discover our natural beauty, discover the friendliness of your neigbours, discover the opportunities this growing community has to offer, and most importantly, discover yourself again in a place that gives you the space to think and breathe. With spring comes thoughts of growth, in more ways than one. We're so pleased to see OneLight receiving support from both Powell River Community Forest Ltd. and the Province of British Columbia to grow their social enterprise and make a difference in the lives of many people and families in Powell River!

It's green all winter in Powell River, so when spring arrives, we start looking for other things. Cherry blossoms, daffodils, extended hours at our garden supply stores, and vegetable starts outside all the major grocery stores are just a few of the things that tell us spring is here!
