ISKA National Championships.

Another great tournament. A Huge congratulations goes out to Sensei Mostafa for hosting the ISKA national championships in Surrey BC.
I want to thank everyone who help supported this event, especially the sport and traditional karate community. Lets start with Paddy Jake and David who looked after the score keeping for all the divisions! Sensei Suzanne and Leah who looked after marshalling the athletes. To all the officials who did an amazing job qualifying for certification. To a all the parents who patiently waited in a very hot and packed gym all day to support our kids. There is one more person I want to thank Sensei Kenny Lim who help me facilitate the officials certification process. Evaluations are being processed and you will receive certification by mail.
Results will be posted later this week here are a few pictures from the competition. Please feel free to like and share!

Every ride to class, every schedule shuffle, every sacrifice—it all matters.
Because one day, that confidence, discipline, and strength will show in who your child becomes.
At the Canadian Martial Arts Academy , we don’t take that responsibility lightly. We focus on real development—building strong fundamentals, reinforcing respect, and pushing students to earn their progress. This isn’t about keeping kids busy; it’s about helping them grow into capable, resilient, and confident individuals.
Just as important, we operate like a village. Parents, instructors, and students all play a role in the same journey. It’s a family-style atmosphere where everyone is known, supported, and invested in each other’s growth—something you simply won’t find in most places.
You’re making the sacrifices. We make sure they count.
