Ballicatter After-school Program in St.Phillips, is looking for someone to come help us out Monday to Friday from the hours from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., school closure or PD days from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

What we will offer you:

Above average pay.
We pay for the initial First Aid or renewal, Vunerable Sector check and the Criminal code check, and PL hours.
If we are closed due to weather or emergencies, you will be paid!

Who can apply:

AECENL Certification trainee, level l, level ll, Child youth care workers are preferred, but retirees or anyone who would like to make extra money, whom have a love for children are also welcome to apply.

What is required:

Current Certificate of Conduct with Vulnerable Sector Check
Current First Aid
Immunization records.

Must have own transportation!!

We have become aware that an after-school program in the area is closing. Unfortunately at this time, we are completely full and cannot take anymore children.

Yesterday was National Child’s Day so today our kids brainstormed words to describe how wonderful they are!

We have left some materials nearby for any parents who have something to add!

Ballicatter After-School Program is non-for-profit, fully licensed Program. We are funded through the OGP (Operating Grant Program) so we charge $8 per day and $15 a day for PD days.

Must be Level l Early Childhood Educator or Trainee or willing to sign up to do the School Age Orientation through AECENL or do the Early Education at a local college. The person hired must have all up to date checks, First-aid and Covid-19 vaccinations and boosters.

Regular hours are Monday to Friday 2pm to 6pm, so part time supplement hours are achievable; PD are 8:00 am to 6:00pm.

We pay above average wages and part time supplement hours are achievable.

We follow the school schedule so we close for the Christmas and Easter breaks.

This is a beautiful little program, the staff have a wonderful rapport with each other and are great team players. We would love to have you join us and become a part of this beautiful program and join a great team.

We are located in the Anglican Church on Coadys Road in Portugal Cove St. Phillips, NL so your own transportation is a requirement.
