Good evening Lax families!
As our first week winds down staff have noticed some students with head lice. We are asking parents to be diligent in checking their heads.
Link below to help parents treat headlice and what needs to be cleaned after treating their heads.

Cleaning the Home and EnvironmentWash Linens in Hot Water: Wash pillowcases, sheets, hats, and recently worn clothing in hot soapy water (at least 54°C or 130°F), then dry them on high heat for 15 to 20 minutes.
Cleaning Non-Washable ItemsSeal in plastic bags: Place items that cannot be washed (like stuffed animals, winter coats, or helmets) into a sealed plastic bag for 2 weeks. Lice and newly hatched nymphs cannot survive that long without a human blood meal.

Cleaning Brushes, Combs, and AccessoriesSoak in hot water: Soak hairbrushes, combs, and hair clips in very hot soapy water or rubbing alcohol for 5 to 10 minutes (or up to an hour).

Vacuuming the HomeVacuum lightly: Vacuum carpets, rugs, car seats, and upholstered furniture where the infested person sat or lay down.

Head lice: signs, safe treatment options, wet‑combing steps, and how to prevent spread at home and school.
