How do scientists determine a fish’s age?
Fish have ear stones in their skull called otoliths, which have growth rings that can be counted like rings on a tree!

While we’re responsible for the protection of several species of marine mammals, like whales, seals, and dolphins, we can’t do it alone.
We rely on Canadians to report incidents and interactions.
