The last days of preschool bring out so many emotions, yet it is exciting to embrace the experiences the children who are moving onto Kindergarten had during their time at Childgarden. We asked the children, "what advice they would share to new children coming to preschool in the fall". These are their responses...

Miles: there’s a gym inside the class
Avery: just be brave
Zayden: friends can help them by reaching something they can’t get
Amara: just be calm
Max: don’t cry
Hazel: there are toys
Tommy: the gym fits 300 kids
Hazel: and you can run in theee
Zayden: and you can jump
The kids could make a card for their mommy or daddy if they miss them

We welcomed 4 little chicks. 🐣 The children enjoyed spending time cuddling and learning all about the hatching process. Thankful for such a beautiful experience.

Airplane and runway explorations are happening in the classroom and the children (Cedar and Birch 3 day classes) are super excited to visit Pitt Meadows Airport for a tour!! ✈️

Nowruz celebration: What a treat! R and his mom visited us today to share a story and celebrate a special holiday. Now: “New” Ruz: “Day”
There is a special table prepared 7 (Haft sin) things that start with S in Farsi:
1) Apple: Sib
2) Wheat Grass: Sabzeh
3) Wheat Germ pudding (sweett): Samanu
4) Hyacinth: Sombat
5) Vinegar: Serkeh
6) Dried olive fruit: Senjed
7) Garlic: Sir
We also learned about Haji Firuz, he dresses in red and only comes once per year, he loves dancing to a special song. The kids really enjoyed the discussion and we are all so grateful.

Beep beep...bot..bot.. On a shelf, in a basket, is where the Robots live. They wait patiently until curious little hands pick them up. Books like Frank N Stan by M.P Robertson and Robots by Dr.Henny Admoni and Amy Grimes inspire kids to create their own robot creations.
