Ariel from Ecuador is back in Nova Scotia! He had lunch with Lesa (home stay coordinator ) Chris Penny, it was so nice getting to catch up with him.

We’re also so excited that he’ll be staying in Nova Scotia and starting the Culinary program at NSCC this September! It’s always extra special seeing our former international students return and continue the next chapter of their lives here. So proud of you, Ariel, and wishing you all the best on this exciting new adventure!

Aww, that’s so nice!! Gracie, one of your DRJ Ambassadors, is in Germany visiting Katharina and Lottie — and Yanis is there with them too!

Such a sweet little international reunion! It’s pretty amazing to see friendships made through the international student program continuing across the world.

Elaura & Colombe from France 🇫🇷, Sara from Spain 🇪🇸, Lotta from Germany 🇩🇪, and Elena & Giulia from Italy 🇮🇹 were all exchange students at Dr. John Hugh Gillis Regional High School during the 2024–2025 school year.

Now, a year later, this amazing group has reunited in Italy!

Liza from Germany and Suzy from Slovakia were host sisters. They reunited again this time in Germany. They spent a week together and also visited France!

NSISP truly is a program that creates friendships and relationships that last a lifetime.

Three years later, Noa from Spain and Justine from France are together again, visiting Cecilia (CC) in her home country of Italy !

Different countries, different cultures, and thousands of kilometres apart—but the friendships made through NSISP continue long after the exchange year ends.

Tabea from Germany has a visitor for a couple of weeks. Maddy from Canada attended school with Tabea and they became good friends so Maddy has joined her for a visit.

The NSISP creates memories and friendships that last a life time. Ronja from Germany , Amy from Spain are in Denmark visiting there friend Signe who all stayed in the Cheticamp area.

Today is fly day for our guests from Germany and Spain and they had one last surprise waiting for them at the airport: Crumble Cookie! Enjoy ladies and safe travels home.

Luna from Germany and her family are visiting Cape Breton with the Dilosa family. Joined by her host sister Ada from Spain. Luna and Ada were Huskies back in 2024 at CBHECA
