Our first P.A. Day of the season is October 16th, and we've got the perfect activity lined up!

By popular request, your child will spend the day learning real sewing skills while making their very own scrunchies to take home — this project came straight from our students asking for it, and honestly, what kid doesn't love scrunchies?

It's a fun, hands-on introduction to sewing, and a great way to fill a school-free day with something creative.

Over on Facebook Marketplace, there seems to be a few older sewing machines for sale. If you are contemplating getting a sewing machine, don’t be afraid to look at them. Often the metal construction is better than the plastic ones today. The old machines might not have an automatic needle threader, but they do stand the test of time.
If the machine is running, it could be a great option for you to begin your sewing journey.
